Mentok Cashmere Shawl

A classic, handspun, handwoven Cashmere shawl in natural white and beige down hair. The first-of-its-kind design in Ladakhi shawls incorporates geometric motifs – called ‘Mentok’ in Ladakhi, in extra weft technique. The muted colors of the motifs are derived from natural indigo, madder root, and marigold. Mentok is a traditional motif, meaning flower, commonly woven in rugs in the region. The shawl also features our trademark braid detail inspired by the Ladakhi menswear belt called Skeraks.

Cashmere, otherwise known as Pashmina, is sourced from the soft down hair of Changra goats of Ladakh, India.
