Gyal Cotton-Silk Overlay

Inspired by the traditional precursor to the modern Kargil dress, this light everyday-wear overlay is made from mud-resist hand printed cotton-silk fabric sourced from Rajasthan. The Kargil woman used to wear a wool dress which didn’t feature the pleated ‘sul’ but had a gathered detail at the waist. The overlay is a modern take on the traditional attire.

The figures listed below are body measurements. The sizes of the overlay are designed to fit accordingly.

Height of the model is 5 ft 5” and is wearing a Size M.

Further, the overlay can be layered with the Gyal cotton-silk jacket for a more refined and demure style.
